"Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished"     - Lao Tzu

In life, it’s important to pause. To breath. To engage in the world around us. When we can’t, things can become overwhelming. Whether you’re making a big life change, dealing with loss or trauma, or just feeling out of sorts and stuck, it is possible to move forward, find joy and fulfilling purpose again.

We all want to feel in control; with a sense of purpose in our lives, connected to the world around us and validated by those we interact with. But life is a journey and there are unexpected roadblocks and detours that take us out of our way and can leave us feeling a little lost. Feelings of pain, loss, hopelessness, fear, shame, worry and more can interfere with our daily lives, our happiness and, at times, our ability to function and maintain healthy relationships.

This is where I come in. In working together, I can help you explore self-limiting thoughts, feelings, and beliefs, as well as the physical sensations that accompany them. You are unique; equipped with a particular set of life experiences that have shaped you and brought you to this point in your life. In a safe, nurturing environment, with curiosity and compassion, I can help you explore your internal world, your struggles, and how to move forward. Healing and growth can begin when you understand, trust, and value yourself fully.

It is possible to survive life’s difficulties. But it is also possible to thrive and find joy.

ABOUT

HEIDI

I am a licensed therapist with a Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology.  But, that is only part of what I bring to my work. I also bring my life experience as the mother of three grown children, as the daughter of aging parents, as an artist who believes that creative expression opens our minds and hearts, and as a citizen of the world who spent decades living in another culture outside of the United States. All of my life experiences only enhances what I do in my work as a therapist, helping me better understand individual challenges, big life decisions, daunting change as well needs and hopes for the future.
